Successful external validation of the rqmicro.COUNT

The rqmicro.COUNT showed very good results in terms of sensitivity, robustness, linearity and working range and the results compared well with the BD Accuri C6. As a result the rqmicro.COUNT is a suitable and reliable instrument for the determination of total cell count in drinking water.

The department for medical examination and hygiene at the UKSH in Kiel validated the rqmicro.COUNT for the quantification of total number of bacteria in natural and artificially spiked drinking water. In this study the portable rqmicro.COUNT was compared to a research flow cytometer installed in the laboratory of the UKSH.
